The IKEA brand's second largest shopping mall in the world settled in Beijing this month

The Swedish IKEA Group has just “arranged” its Fengxian, Shanghai, largest logistics distribution center in the Asia Pacific region. On April 12, the world’s largest home furnishing retailer will announce its second largest shopping mall in Beijing—Beijing IV. The opening of the Yuanqiao store. Xu Lide, manager of public relations at IKEA China, told the “Daily Economic News” that besides the opening of Beijing’s Siyuanqiao store, IKEA also hopes to open another store in Chengdu before the end of the year. As a result, the number of IKEA stores in Mainland China will increase to four. According to the plan, by 2010, the number of IKEA stores in China will reach 10.

Sources said that IKEA will set up a retail shopping mall in Shanghai and is currently in the Pudong or Yangpu area. In response, Xu Lide said that IKEA wants more than one store in Shanghai, but there is no clear plan to open stores in Shanghai. However, Xu Lide admits that IKEA's spot selection sites throughout the country are being conducted at any time so that more stores can be built in the future.
