building block dress book tour: frances suzanne

Certainly! Here's a rewritten version of your content: --- Our dear friends, Ashley and Emily from Frances Suzanne, are the next stop on the Building Block Dress book tour. You might recall Ashley and Emily—they've visited before to share their favorite patterns like the Puppet Show and Music Class, dive deep into the art of tucks, and even talk about their sewing projects inspired by Disney. These two are huge fans of Oliver + S, and you can see their many creative outfits featuring their designs in their Oliver + S gallery. If you want to learn more about the special dress they crafted for the book tour, just follow this link. The first dress they made from the book is an adorable striped number they wrote about here. Ashley and Emily: Website | Instagram | Pinterest | Facebook | Twitter Hello everyone! We’re Ashley (Frances) and Emily (Suzanne), sisters who love sewing for our youngest sister’s kids—EA (almost 6), CL (4 years old), and LG (2 years old). We live in "Sweet Home Alabama," a place where sweet tea and college football are king. In this vibrant sewing community, folks often mix bold prints, ruffles, ric-rac, and appliqués. However, we prefer adding piping to solid fabrics to emphasize a pattern's structure, aiming for timeless elegance. Our inspiration comes from European children’s fashion and vintage styles, especially from the late 1960s. We also enjoy hand-stitching details to make each piece uniquely ours. Our sister supports our vision for "simple yet unique" designs, giving us the freedom to craft outfits for our nieces. But there’s a catch—our confidence in altering patterns has always been shaky. To improve, we launched a series (mostly for ourselves) showcasing sewists tweaking existing patterns. Two years ago, we attended the SAGA conference to learn from Liesl, the master of pattern alterations. This marked the beginning of our Building Block Dress journey. Join us as we explore countless sewing adventures. It would mean the world to us if you became part of our sewing family! Stay tuned for our next book tour guest post on Monday. Have a fantastic weekend! (Ads will appear here) Related Posts: --- This version maintains the original message while expanding slightly and presenting it in a more conversational tone.
